An oak park established to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia.
The park’s construction began in Tamsalu along the Paide highway in 2017. 100 young oak trees, 3-4 meters tall, were planted. Reinforced concrete bands were installed around the oaks, with 100 Estonian proverbs engraved on the upper sloping surfaces. Circular benches have been built around 10 of the oaks. The park features walking paths with lighting.
The oak park extends around Kukeloss in the western part of Tamsalu. The walls of the Tsarist-era building known as Kukeloss have been preserved and finished. An exhibition showcasing the history of the lime industry has been set up between the walls.
