To prove it, here\u2019s the story of Marie and her three children, whose week-long vacation in Lahemaa went exactly like that. <\/p>

Marie Georgie<\/strong> from Belgium found a bike rental option on the Visit Lahemaa website. No sooner said than done! In July, in addition to the mother, Suzanne (14), Rose (13), and Leon (5) will be leaving our information caf\u00e9 to explore the national park. Marie is a children\u2019s therapist, but her current focus is on metalwork. <\/span><\/p>

Marie values the freedom of traveling without a car and believes that traveling by car limits the experience. She prefers quality over quantity, and her goal is not to see many places, but to experience a few deeply. In addition, Marie believes that taking things slowly creates the perfect setting for wonderful surprises, because otherwise you would simply rush right past them. <\/span><\/p>

For her, the car-centric mindset is baffling: \u201cWhen I\u2019m planning a route on Google Maps, it doesn\u2019t show any bike options around here at all. Why? If you can walk there, you can surely bike there too.\u201d Her friends share a similar mindset, but generally speaking, Belgians also love to get around by car. <\/span><\/p>

Oh, so why Lahemaa? Marie says, \u201cThe national park seemed like a safe choice with the kids\u2014it looked like there was nature and peace, and not too many people.\u201d And that\u2019s exactly how it is! We go blueberry picking in the forest, play on the beach, and ride bikes around the neighborhood. The kids really love it here. They don\u2019t even want to go to popular tourist destinations like Portugal, Spain, or Italy.\u201d <\/p>

Another positive aspect the woman mentions is Estonian food, which \u201cthe kids like, too. The store in Loksa has a wide selection, the prices aren\u2019t high, and we can prepare everything ourselves. Even the ready-made meals sold here are delicious!\u201d<\/p>

After a 7-day tour, we send our happy guests on their way to Tallinn. The exploration of Lahemaa went perfectly, and in addition to the beautiful nature and Estonian cuisine, our rental bikes also received high praise. <\/span><\/p>
