We live on the coast, where you can see and touch the water. Inland, it is covered by a layer and is visible as gravel and palpable as minerals. The rivers and streams that flow from the shingle towards the sea carry the minerals to the sea, where marine life also shares in them. Our groundwater is preserved in a cluster of carbonate rocks. Thus, all our plants and animals feed directly or indirectly on the benthic minerals. Come and try our local food – the ultimate in flavours!
